Thursday Cal Poly Ballroom Dance Club Thursday Lessons (normally in Cal Poly Arch Bldg Room 05-225) For Current Schedule of times and locations, view our Lessons / Events Calendar 8:00pm - 9:15pm: Beginning Dance Lesson 9:15pm -10:00pm: Free Dance Hour Lessons are $2.00 for the whole night * No partner or experience necessary Ballroom dancing at the Madonna Inn Hank and Phil play again on Thursday Nights, usually from 7:30pm to 11:00pm, but the times may vary.  They usually play a good mix of Ballroom Dance music.  (Note: The Cal Poly Ballroom Dance Club members and officers usually meet at Madonna Inn on Wednesday Nights.) Country Night at the Graduate Country dancing starts at 9:00pm  (They play some songs you can Cha-cha, Hustle, WC Swing, EC Swing, Night Club 2Step and Waltz as well.) Friday Salsa Lessons from the Cal Poly Salsa Club Our classes offer fast paced instruction at a reasonable price. We teach L.A. style Salsa, which is very smooth, very popular, and guaranteed to make you look cool on the dance floor. Building #5, Room #225 Cost: $5.00 Dancing at theMadonna Inn The Friday Night Band playing at Madonna Inn varies between the Rose Garden Dance Band (a great Swing Big Band), Hank and Phil, and occasionally other bands.  You can always call the Madonna Inn to confirm.  In any case, the music is usually good to dance to and lasts until 11:00pm. Saturday Dancing at the Madonna Inn The fabulous Viper Six Swing Band plays most Saturdays at Madonna Inn.  They have a lot of great swing songs, but also play the occasional ChaCha, Salsa, and even a Tango!  Dancing goes from 7:30pm to 11:00pm, and it's free (although tipping the band and bartender is strongly encouraged.) Ballroom Dancing at the Carrillo Rec Center in Santa Barbara With one of the best floors in California, the Carrillo Rec Center is a great place to Ballroom Dance. Every Saturday they have a live band playing Ballroom Dance music.  Dancing goes from 8:00pm to 11:00pm and the cost is $8.00.  Something new is always happening. Many bands and DJs play at the Cliffs in Shell Beach, The Madonna Inn, Mother's Tavern, SLO Brew and many others.
